Solve a problem

Start with the section that matches what you were trying to do. Most common access, invitation, publication and upload problems can be checked in a few steps.

What you’ll learn

  • How to recover from common sign-in and invitation problems.
  • What to check when publishing, uploading or saving fails.
  • When deleted content can—and cannot—be recovered.
  • What to send if you need human help.

I cannot sign in

Check that you are using the right email address and password. If you forgot your password, use the reset option on the sign-in page.

If a verification or reset email has not arrived, check your spam folder before requesting another one.

I cannot accept a board invitation

  • Sign in with the email address that received the invitation, or create an account with that address.
  • Check whether the invitation is more than 14 days old.
  • Ask the Owner whether the invitation is still pending or your access was revoked.

Ask the Owner to send a new invitation if you need Participant access. A View or Post link provides narrower access and does not make you a Participant.

I cannot invite someone

Only Owners on Club Host, Club Facilitator or Chosen Few can send private-board invitations. If you use Club Member, you can still receive invitations and participate fully.

The same Owner and plan requirement applies when creating a View or Post link.

  • Ask the Owner whether the link was revoked.
  • Check whether the complete link was copied.
  • Sign in if you are trying to contribute through a Post link.
  • Ask the Owner whether their current plan still includes collaboration.

A View link does not require an account. A Post link requires an account before you can create or manage your own notes, arrange notes, comment, use hearts or vote. Existing links become unavailable if the Owner’s plan no longer includes collaboration. The Owner can still revoke such a link.

I cannot add a note to a workshop board

Check the bar at the top of the board. If it says the workshop has not started, wait — the board appears by itself when the facilitator opens it. If input is closed, the collecting phase is over; you can still comment, use hearts and vote. If you are asked for your name again, your link expired or was revoked, and you need a fresh one from the facilitator.

I cannot publish a Draft

Check whether you reached your plan’s daily publication allowance. Only successful moves from Draft → Public count. You can publish again after the daily reset, and you can keep creating and editing Drafts or private-board sticky notes while you wait.

Also check the content. Sticky-note text and Instant Photo captions cannot contain URLs, and an uploaded image cannot be larger than 5 MB.

An image will not upload

Images are the only files you can upload, and each image can be up to 5 MB. Remove unsupported files or choose a smaller image, then try again.

Keep the page open while an upload or save is still in progress.

A board change is missing

Check that StickyNotes.club confirmed the change was saved before you leave the page. Refresh to load the board’s accepted state.

If saving failed, keep the board open and select Retry. StickyNotes.club preserves unsaved sticky-note text on your device and tries connection failures again when you are back online. Do not assume the change reached the board until you see Saved.

If two people changed the same sticky-note text, choose which version to keep in the editor. See Work together in real time for autosave, restored text and simultaneous edits.

I cannot find deleted content

After you confirm deletion, a sticky note, comment or board is deleted immediately and permanently. There is no Undo, trash or recovery option.

Good to know

  • Keep the page open when an upload or save is still in progress.
  • Wait for Saved before relying on a board change.
  • Never send your password or payment-card details to support.
