Take part in a workshop

Someone invited you to a workshop with a link or a QR code. You do not need an account, and there is nothing to install.

Join in three steps

Open the link, or scan the QR code with your phone camera.
Type the name you want other people to see. Anything works — your first name is fine.
Select Join the board.

That’s it. When the board opens, select Add a sticky note to share one idea. Vote when the facilitator opens a voting round, and select View results after the workshop finishes.

The facilitator can see your name in the session list. It also appears with your notes and comments unless the facilitator has hidden author names.

Add your ideas

Select Add a sticky note, type one idea and select Add a sticky note again. Short beats complete: one idea per note.

You can:

edit and delete your own notes while the workshop is open, by selecting the note;
comment on anyone’s note;
use a heart to show you like an idea;
vote when the facilitator opens a voting round;
drag notes around to group them with others.

You cannot change what someone else wrote. That is deliberate — their words stay theirs.

If author names are hidden, notes and comments stay anonymous for everyone, including the facilitator and on the results page. You can still recognise and edit your own contributions while the session is open.

Hiding names is a setting the facilitator controls, and they can switch it off again — your name then reappears on what you wrote. If it matters to you, ask them before you write.

When the board looks different than you expect

You see a waiting room. The session has not started yet. Keep the tab open; the board appears by itself when the facilitator starts. You do not need to refresh.

You only see your own notes. The facilitator turned on a silent brainstorm, so nobody is influenced by the first idea on the board. Everyone’s notes appear together when they reveal them.

The Add Note button is gone. Input is closed for now. You can still comment, use hearts and vote — that is usually the point: the collecting is done and the discussion starts.

Moving notes is locked. The facilitator has fixed the arrangement for the discussion. You can still use the other controls that are available.

One note stands out. The facilitator has spotlighted it for the room. Notes marked discussed have already been covered.

The workshop is Finished. The board is read-only: nobody can add, edit, move, comment, use hearts or vote. Select View results to see the final overview, including voting results and any Decisions, Action items, Open questions or Parking lot items the facilitator marked.

You are asked for your name again. Your browser no longer recognises your session, usually because its site data was cleared. Ask the facilitator what to do. Notes you already added stay on the board.

The link no longer opens. It may have expired, been replaced or been revoked, or your access may have been removed. Contact the facilitator; only they can confirm which applies.

Good to know

Use the same browser and device to return as the same participant. Clearing your browser data means you join as somebody new.
The link is the access. Treat it as private and do not forward it without asking.
Your name is used for the session and shown to the facilitator. It appears with your contributions unless author names are hidden. We do not ask for your email address or create an account, and you never get an email.
Your name is removed 30 days after your last visit to the board. What you contributed stays, under a neutral name.
