Work together in real time
Private boards stay up to date while people work together. Changes usually appear for everyone viewing the board within a few seconds, without refreshing the page.
What you’ll learn
- Which board changes appear live.
- How autosave protects your sticky-note text.
- What happens when two people edit the same sticky note.
- How to recover from a connection or saving problem.
See board changes live
When someone creates, edits, moves or deletes a sticky note, the accepted change appears for other people viewing the board. Comments, hearts, votes, voting-round changes, tags and the tag filter also stay up to date.
This works for the Owner, Participants and people viewing an active View or Post link.
If you are editing a sticky note or moving one when the board changes, StickyNotes.club waits rather than interrupting you. You will see Board updated by someone else. Finish what you are doing and the board updates automatically, or select Refresh now.
Let your changes save themselves
Sticky-note text saves automatically shortly after you stop typing and when you leave the text field. You can still select Save to save and close the editor.
The status in the bottom-right corner shows Saving…, Saved or a message explaining why the change could not be saved. Colour, tag and due-date changes are saved with the text.
Resolve simultaneous edits
If somebody saves new text to the same sticky note while you are editing it, StickyNotes.club keeps your text in the editor and shows both versions. Nothing is silently overwritten.
Choose:
- Save my version to replace the current board text with yours.
- Use theirs to use the current board text. Your own text remains stored on your device as a backup.
Hearts, votes and sticky-note positions always use the board’s accepted state, so they do not show this choice.
Recover after a connection problem
Text you type is stored on your device until it is saved. If your connection drops or the tab closes unexpectedly, return to the board to reopen the editor with the restored text.
Changes that could not be sent because of a connection problem are tried again when the connection returns. You can also select Retry. Keep the board open until you see Saved.
If the sticky note was deleted, your access changed or your session expired, the saving message explains what happened and what to do next. Your unsaved text remains available as a local backup when the sticky note no longer exists.
Good to know
- StickyNotes.club stores the current accepted version of a sticky note, not an edit history.
- A View-link visitor sees live changes but cannot contribute.
- A signed-in Post-link visitor can manage their own notes, arrange notes, comment, use hearts and vote, but does not gain Participant or board-management rights.
- If the board says you are making changes too quickly, wait for the time shown before trying again.
